New poetry adventures ahead in 2023

I was so honored when the Athens Municipal Arts Commission recommended me to serve as Poet Laureate for the 2023/24 term. Past Laureates in Athens include the ever-so-talented Allison Stine, Ohio Poet Laureate Kari Gunter-Seymour and our current PL Wendy McVicker. These women leave big shoes to fill, but solid imprints of the impact that Poet Laureates can have on their community. I am thrilled to take on the task of merging my "day-jobs" of public service with my passion for poetry. More to come on this, and the other exciting projects I have scribbled in my notebook.
